Litigation Support Analyst

Job Description:

Our client, an international law firm is seeking a Litigation Support Analyst for their Washington, D.C. office.  The Litigation Support Analyst assists the Director and/or Regional Litigation Technology Manager in the provision of in-house support for the Litigation Department in the application of computerized tools and non-computerized procedures.  Performs hands-on technical work in databases and other litigation support applications with specific emphasis on the e-discovery process and technology. 

 

Job functions include but are not limited to: Assisting with the management of all phases of litigation, e-discovery and other litigation technology projects; Assisting with research, evaluation, recommendation and implementation of software products for the Litigation Department; Participates in departmental project teams and task forces designed to streamline workflow and/or resolve issues; Coordinates document production sets to opposing counsel.

 

Minimum job qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience;  2-3 years of litigation support or paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate environment; Working knowledge of litigation support applications (e.g. LiveNote, Concordance, IPRO). Proficient personal computer skills and knowledge of firm software including email, word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, time and attendance, and organizational/project planning software applications; Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments, use initiative and judgment to accomplish results, work under pressure and complete job assignments in an accurate, timely and professional manner; Strong communications, interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, staff and a variety of external entities including clients and prospective clients of the Firm.

Senior Counsel, Intellectual Property

Job Description:

Our client, one of North America’s largest, privately held electronics manufacturer seeks a Senior Intellectual Property Counsel that will be responsible for executing the intellectual property strategy for one or more business units and is expected to perform under minimal supervision.  The individual must function as a leader and be relied upon to counsel business leaders in practical solutions that are aligned with the business strategy.  This includes a demonstrated ability to spot issues, apply comprehensive analysis and exercise sound judgment on a daily basis.  Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: conducting IP clearance for new products, identify patent opportunities, prepare and maintain patent applications, opposition motions; and trademark registrations, renewals and use affidavits, supervise and manage outside counsel with patent filings and litigation, and support licensing and other IP related transactional matters within the business unit as well as performing other duties of a specialized and confidential nature.  This individual reports to the Chief IP Counsel and works closely with the General Manager and Director of Engineering of the business unit they are assigned to.  This position interacts with the internal business units, outside counsels and third parties (both in the U.S. and abroad).

Providus seeks a Network Adminstrator/ IT Support Technician (Level II to III) for the Manhattan office of a large law firm.  Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in the legal field, a minimum 3 years combined experience as Level II-III user support technician in comparable IT environment, minimum 3 years experience in basic Microsoft Active Directory administration, minimum 3 years experience in basic Microsoft Exchange administration. Strong trouble-shooting skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly. Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands.  Preferred experience:  MCSE, MCP, CCNA, or other related professional certifications, Interwoven Filesite document management system administration, Database administration in SQL, Microsoft Access, Summation, Concordance, Administration of Cisco switches, routers and ASA. You must be willing to work after hours or on weekends if necessary, and be on-call 24x7.
